This tweaked Email Attacher script allows you to print and create faxable image files automatically - with no user intervention from a pop-up screen.

Here are instructions for installing and modifying the Email Attacher print driver.

Step 1: Install the FaxBack "Email Attacher" print driver from you NET SatisFAXtion CD, or from this web site:

Step 2: Test to make sure it is installed and working correctly by simply printing something from a Windows application and selecting the "Email Attacher" from the list of printers. You should see a screen pop up with a thumbnail of your print job, and the option to save it as a tif or fpd file.

Step 3: When you install the e-mail attacher, all of it's files are copied to

c:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\E-Mail Attacher\

TARGET.ZIP contains these files:

They should be copied into the same directory. The .hta file will over-write an existing file.

Step 4: Print to the Email Attacher print driver. You will see no pop-up, but the image file will be created and stored as per the file name stored in "TARGET.INI".

You can simply edit TARGET.INI with notepad and change the location and name of the image file to be created. By default, it is saved to the directory:

NOTE: The "FPD" file format is natively supported by NET SatisFAXtion. Using the Connector API you can create a ".T01" packet file and specify the FPD file instead of TIF and the fax server will deliver the fax without a hitch.

The file, TARGET.INI, needs to be in the same directory as FAXabilityE-mailAttacher.hta. Make sure you do not to put spaces before or after "[VOICE_REGISTERS]" or "TargetFile=". The .INI file can include other [sections] or other values.
TargetFile=<file name>

If you want to change the names of the .INI file, section name, or target file value name simply use Notepad to edit the file

The script has a few conspicuous variables that can changed as needed.
var ini_file_name = program_path + "\\TARGET.INI";
var ini_section = "[VOICE_REGISTERS]";
var ini_target_file = "TargetFile";

If there are errors, such as missing the target file name, an error message is displayed.
