PROBLEM


Client Suite installation does not use the correct gateway address. Symptoms may be:
  • Email address uses old SMTP or POP3 settings.
  • Email address displays as "User Name (@ Fax)"
  • Server uses multiple gateways but the Client Suite installer does not ask which one to use.

SOLUTION


  1. Uninstall the Client Suite first
  2. Verify the contents of a file on the Fax Server: C:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\Databases\GatewaysDirectory.xml and make sure it contains only the current gateways. If that file does not exist, you will need to reinstall your gateway.
  3. On the client you will need to remove the old settings. Rename or delete the directory C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\FaxBack\Client Suite\ where %USERNAME% refers to the current user's login name.
  4. Go to the Launchpad (http:servername//) and save the Client Suite installer to the desktop. Do not "Run" it from Internet Explorer: it might use an old cached copy.
  5. Run the NS-ClientSuite.msi installer from the desktop. It will use your current gateway configuration.
