SOLUTION

To set a NET SatisFAXtion fax server to blind dial, add the following registry setting to the specific hardware section. You will need to set the "dial_progress_mode" setting to just "DETECT_BUSY_TONE".

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FaxBack\Class1]
"
dial_progress_mode"="DETECT_BUSY_TONE"
For example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FaxBack\Class1\dial_progress_mode=DETECT_BUSY_TONE
dial_progress_mode

Description: Determines if dial and busy tones are detected. The driver implements this by sending the X# modem command depending upon this value.
Type: Comma seperated string
Default: DETECT_DIAL_TONE, DETECT_BUSY_TONE
Options: DETECT_DIAL_TONE , DETECT_BUSY_TONE

The following is a registry file you can download and merge into your fax servers registry. Remember to close and reopen the fax server software, as this new value will be read the next time the fax server loads.

Using Hyperterm, you can use the following AT commands:

ATX Blind dial: Ignore dial tone and busy
ATX1 Blind dial; send CONNECT XXXX result code. Do not detect busy
ATX2 Wait for dial tone before dialing; do not detect busy
ATX3 Ignore dial tone. Send BUSY if busy signal detected
