Configuring PIKA PrimeNET MM card for Channelized T1 (Robbed-bit)
The following screens show the PIKA SETUP utility configuration set to work with the FaxBack Voice Server. In this configuration, the Voice Server successfully captures DNIS from the T1 signal at the start of the call and stores it in the register named “DNIS”.

PikaConfig.xml is the file that PikaSetup.exe uses to load/save the hardware configuration. When you make changes in PikaSetup.exe and save you are saving to PikaConfig.xml.

In addition to the DSP checkmarks, etc., PikaConfig.xml contains board serial number, PCI bus and slot information. This info will probably be different than what appears on your own development system so unfortunately you can't just use the enclosed PikaConfg.xml.

The easiest way to edit a specific configuration is to launch PikaSetup.exe, detect cards and save. This creates a default PikaConfig.xml file with your board serial number, PCI bus and slot information. You can send in to FaxBack support a copy of their \Windows\system32\PikaConfig.xml, and we can make the changes indicated on the screens below, and send the file back to you.

The FaxBack support process is to rename the "known good" PikaConfig.xml so as to not lose that info, then copy the customer PikaConfig.xml file into the folder
\Windows\system32\

Now launch PikaSetup.exe to see the customer configuration. Edit customer configuration, save it and send it back to the customer.

You should not need to reboot your system during this procedure. You will need to unload the Voice Server, and end-task the PIKAevoserver.exe and EVOMessenger.
The attached PIKAConfig.zip file contains PIKA, EVO, and FaxBack configuration files from a working system.

During debugging a new T1, the tabs for Logging should be turned on, especially the “CAS” logging under the “Advanced Logging” tab.
