This article applies to NET SatisFAXtion 8.5.

PROBLEM

Attempting to install the Administration program on a remote machine errors with "Internal Error 2715" and does not complete the installation. Affects Version 8.5.4225.929 fax server installations. The cause is being researched.

SOLUTION

There are a few steps to take. Simply using the attached MSI will NOT work! - If you skip any of these steps, the attached MSI will still fail.

You will need to replace and update NS-Administration.msi on your fax server.

1. Rename or delete your existing NS-Administration.msi located at (typically) C:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\wwwroot\downloads
2. Copy the attached NS-Administration.msi to the installation folder, (typically) C:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\wwwroot\downloads
3. Stop the fax server service
a) Right click the NS icon in the system tray and select "Stop - Fax Service"
3. From a command prompt, go to the folder C:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion
4. type cd\program files\net satisfaxtion and hit Enter
5. type config /patch and hit enter

6. Start the fax server service
a) Right click the NS icon in the system tray and select "Start - Fax Service"

7. If you have previously downloaded the NS-Administration.msi from the fax server, BEFORE the above steps, delete that copy and download the new, updated MSI you just put on the fax server from your Launch Pad website
