Unable to Access CASX error

The following dialog box appears when attempting to run or install FAXability and the solutions listed in the error box do not work.



Completely remove FAXabilty from the system. The following steps go beyond the uninstall script to insure that all program files and references are removed from the system. Note that the following steps assume that there are no other FaxBack products installed on the system, since application of these steps will damage the installations of other FaxBack products installed on the same host system.

Common problems for FAXability are a Windows XP firewall (either the client or the fax server) or Pop-up blockers in Internet Explorer.
  • Run the Windows Services interface from Control Panel, Administrative Tools, stop and disable Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing.
  • Disable the pop-up blocker from IE Tools menu.

If stopping the firewall service and turning off the pop-up blocker do not resolve the problem, follow the next 3 steps

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and remove FAXability.

2. Download and run RemoveFAXability.exe on the affected machine. This utility will safely remove FAXability, WITHOUT harming other applications such as Administration, or the Faxout Client Suite.

3. Re-Install FAXability
  • Re-install the FAXability client from the NET SatisFAXtion Lauch Pad (NS http web server). When accessing the Launch Pad for re-installation, use the server host name rather than the IP address in the URL.
