PROBLEM

When attempting certain actions with the fax software you will receive an error "ns700servicemonitor was not found on computer." Possible spots may be when running Change Server Settings or attempting to load the software.

CAUSE

The root cause of this service disappearing is currently unknown.

SOLUTION

Manually creating the service resolves this. The service can be created by running a command prompt as administrator and entering the following command:

For 32 bit: sc create ns700servicemonitor binPath= "C:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\LoaderMonitor.exe" DisplayName= "NET SatisFAXtion Service Monitor"

For 64 bit: sc create ns700servicemonitor binPath= "C:\Program Files (x86)\NET SatisFAXtion\LoaderMonitor.exe" DisplayName= "NET SatisFAXtion Service Monitor"

Note: If your software is installed in a different directory, You will have to change the binPath to match that directory.

After the service has been recreated, bring up the services control panel from the administrative tools. Within the properties of the newly created service verify that the Startup type is set to Automatic and that the service is started.
