This article applies to NET SatisFAXtion 8.5.

FAXability user database file becomes corrupt.
Users cannot view or send faxes
Users cannot retrieve faxes from the outox of the fax server

1. Multiple clients sharing the same username
2. Database becomes too large (over 2GB)
3. Using a NET SatisFAXtion system user, such as Supervisor, Postmaster or a user added to the Routers and/or Supervisors Group in Administration, that also logs onto Administration

Run FileTest.exe, select the UserName.fbq (where UserName is the users database file) and click the Repair button. FileTest will attempt to repair the users database file.

NOTE: If your database file is very large, make sure you have enough disk space for a copy to be created

FileTest.exe Location - [DRIVE]:Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion
FAXability Users DataBase Location - [DRIVE]:Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\User Queues

If you rename the USER.FBQ file, another empty USER.FBQ file will be created when FAXability logs on as that user next. Likewise, if you rename a new file, then rename the old file back to the original name, the user will then see that "old" database information

Other Notes on FileTest.exe
When repairing a database, a copy of the user.fbq file will be created, called user.fbq.BAD. Example "win2ktest.fbq.BAD"
This file will be left behind in the .\User Queues directory and you will want to delete it when you are done.
