PROBLEM

Some PBX systems pass more DTMF tones than are needed to route faxes with.
In a couple cases with NEC Aspire PBX's using a centralized voice mail system, DTMF tones can be sent, however also contain characters not needed for routing.

Example: (10 actual DTMF Tones)

2001123* [2 asterisks , trunk number, DID, asterisk]

In the above example, the FaxBack administrator want's to route only on the ending digits of 123

This Casdrive.dll adds functionality for removing leading DTMF digits after they are received.

CAUSE

PBX delivers a nonstandard stream of tones, or more tones than wanted for an identifier.

SOLUTION

This Casdrive.dll adds functionality for removing leading DTMF digits after they are received.
CasDrive can now strip digits from the entire number from the left, using "DtmfRouteStripCount"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FaxBack\CASDrive]
"DtmfRouteStripCount" = "NumberToStrip"

To get 123 out of the above example, (see Example under PROBLEM:) we need to collect 9 total tones, then strip 6 of them, leaving the ending 3, less the final *

Collect
2001123 (9 tones)
strip 2001 (6 tones)

leaving 123 to route on. (3 tones)

The attached CasDrive.dll can ONLY be used on fax servers running version
8.1.3454.583 (No Exceptions)

The next release of NET SatisFAXtion, newer than
8.1.3454.583** will have this updated CasDrive.dll, therefore will not need the one above.

Also updated is the "DTMF Setup.exe" to help in setting the "DtmfRouteStripCount"
On Version 8.1 Fax Server's you can replace your existing "DTMF Setup.exe" located on your server's C:\Program Files\NET SatisFAXtion\wwwroot\Downloads folder with the attached.
