PROBLEM

Some companies receive rather long faxes, causing their fax machine to be busy for long periods of time. The default Busy retry is 3 minutes between retries. While taking caution is strongly advised when expanding this time, it can be changed. Likewise the number of retries can also be expanded, although the same caution is advised as either can cause faxes to stay in the scheduled queue interrupting other faxes from being sent in a timely manor.

SOLUTION

Fax Modem Hardware types this covers - ALL
The default for Busy_Call_Send_Retry_Seconds is 3 minutes, or 180 seconds
The default for Failed_Send_Retry_Attempts is 3 - Setting this to a number greater than 10 is not suggested.

Registry Example:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FaxBack\IcanFax]
"Failed_Send_Retry_Attempts"="3"
"Busy_Call_Send_Retry_Seconds"="180"

Registry files to download and merge with preset times

- The following registry file will set the Busy Retry interval to 5 minutes and 3 attempts

- The following registry file will set the Busy Retry interval to 10 minutes and 3 attempts
