This article applies to NET SatisFAXtion 8.5.

PROBLEM

Since Version 7.x multiple order packet directory handling has been changed. Use this only if you have NET SatisFAXtion Version 7.5 or newer, currently installed. This can be used only on versions 7.5x to 8.0.2949.856. The next release of 8.0 will have this asc2cas.dll included. All other instructions will still apply.

SOLUTION

This is an ADVANCED feature for the connector API

The attached (see bottom of this page) asc2cas.dll will use a parameter that is passed on the command line as a name of the registry path like so: "Software\FaxBack" + name. The default is still ASCIIPacketServer, i.e., "Software\FaxBack" + "ASCIIPacketServer".

Multiple asc2cas.dll's can be loaded in the SAME process, by
1) copying the asc2cas.dll to a new name in the same "NET SatisFAXtion" directory (for example, "asc2cas_2.dll")
2) creating/copying the "ASCIIPacketServer" registry settings to a new key at the same level (for example, "ASCIIPacketServer_2"), and 3) adding an entry to the Wloader\LOAD6 section to load the "new" .dll, passing it the registry path
name of the copied/modified ASCIIPacketServer settings.

Repeat as needed for more instances of asc2cas.

To recap:

1) Copy "asc2cas.dll" to "asc2cas_2.dll" (or any unique name).

2) Export/modify/import "ASCIIPacketServer" settings so you end up with a new registry section at this level:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FaxBack\ASCIIPacketServer_2]

3) Modify the LOAD6 section to get the new .dll loaded, providing the name of the reg path chunk:

4) Create a unique user for each instance, for example ClarityNS_2, ClarityNS_3 etc in the Administration program.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FaxBack\WLoader\LOAD6]
"Clarity Compatibility Server 2"="ASC2CAS_2.dll ASCIIPacketServer_2"
"Clarity Compatibility Server 3"="ASC2CAS_3.dll ASCIIPacketServer_3"
"Clarity Compatibility Server 4"="ASC2CAS_4.dll ASCIIPacketServer_4"
"Clarity Compatibility Server 5"="ASC2CAS_5.dll ASCIIPacketServer_5"

When an alternate reg path is provided, asc2cas will output to the loader:
Using an alternate registry path: "ASCIIPacketServer_2"

This asc2cas.dll will create the activity log based on the RegisteredUserName (I.E. ClarityNS_2, ClarityNS_3, etc.)

Bold - Blue areas below are what needs to change
Warning - the below examples are saved reg files and only require half the number of back slashes.
\\\\NETSATISFAXTION\\XPPRO_DUANE if created manually in the registry should be:
\\NETSATISFAXTION\XPPRO_DUANE
